Minimum Viable change in Agile transformation

When Agile thought the world to move away from Big Bang to MVP (Minimum viable product) , is it not applicable to agile itself???

Yes, in this article lets discuss to implement Agile transformation in Agile way.

Last week, in a corporate training for Agile in Chennai, There was quite a long discussion that Agile is not suitable for SAP implementation. I introduced an activity with 12 principles of agile from which   participants agreed that certain methodologies/framework under Agile might not suitable for certain projects but agile is applicable everywhere. Now came the next question from participants “Then how should I start implementing Agile. Here is one of way to to that….

Draw a web of 12 Agile principles . Call your team and retrospect the each principle in the scale of 1 – 9 .

The more the convergence in the principles is the area you should start to work with. Because the team lags in agility for those principles.   For example if the web shows less points for Principle 4 “Business people and developers must work together daily throughout the project.”

That is your minimum viable change (MVC) spotted. Start from here. Implement the ways to improve the collaboration between the team and business daily more than the sighed blueprint document.

Similarly address all the principles and at the end your teams are Agile transformed.

All the best to start with your MVC.
