The Agile Compaign
Agile is Not Dead!
Agile is not dead! The famous campaign has been happening in LinkedIn for a month now. Over time observing globally, philosophical systems can evolve and develop more nuanced versions. For example let’s take buddhism which is a philosophy preached from 563 to about 483 bce. Although 2500 years have passed since Buddhist philosophy is not dead yet based on various parameters, the same philosophy took various forms in various parts of the world. Based on the understanding of philosophy and also the circumstances happening in the place the implementation may vary.Â
Likewise Agile is a philosophical suggestion for the IT world by 17 IT great minds. Based on understanding of values, principles and the circumstances happening in an organization the degree of implementation and customization may vary but as such Agile methodologies cannot be cremated.Â
I believe Agile’s significant benefits to the IT sector are the main reason for my prediction. While numerous reports consistently highlight Agile benefits over the past two decades, my experience implementing Agile practices (not just frameworks) for over 200 teams confirms that careful implementation can expedite delivery. However, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to Agile. It should be customized to each team and organization. Until there is someone with passion and perseverance to enable agility with a system, Agile cannot be dead.
